Recall a compliment…

How many times do you shrug off or get all bashful when someone compliments you?

Think about a compliment you recently received that you appreciated….
What was it? From whom did it come?

Here is a recent one for me…

A friend told me I looked so very refreshed and bright.  These days, that felt really good to hear!

Why You Need to Accept Compliments

by JANE POWELL on JANUARY 31, 2012

“Accept praise.”

Sometimes the hardest thing to hear and to accept is a compliment. We tend to be guarded, possibly because we have been hurt by words in the past. We fight the urge to believe the praise; it simply can’t be true.

The truth is compliments should be embraced and welcomed. They’re an intangible gift,

You deserve to be flattered, so accept it, and enjoy it!

Today’s Affirmation: I deserve to complimented and accept them with ease.

What’s your position?…

“On some positions,

  • Cowardice asks the question, “Is it safe?”
  • Expediency asks the question, “Is it politic?” And
  • Vanity comes along and asks the question, “Is it popular?” But
  • Conscience asks the question “Is it right?”

And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but he must do it because Conscience tells him it is right.”
